New nursing pathway to address workforce shortages

Funding for the pre-nursing program allows us to deliver a state-of-the-art, educational experience to our students to prepare for Nursing jobs within the state. Enrolling in our program helps students overcome the barrier of geographical range limitations to education and will allow students easier access to pre-Nursing and Nursing education programs, limiting travel and associated costs while enabling students to remain in their community.

The pre-nursing program gives West Side students a broader educational background and time to build maturity before entering UHM's Nursing school.
