Food insecurity is one of the most difficult challenges our students face during their academic journey. A significant number of Leeward Community College students reported that they go without meals and have difficulty paying for tuition, books, rent, transportation and childcare.
This has an direct impact on their grades, their mental well-being, and their physical health.
Our food pantry, Hānai iā Leeward, provides food at our Pu‘uloa campus and Wai‘anae Moku Education Center. Your support helps more students with their basic needs, easing the daily stress that can interfere with their paths to education and better lives.
