The need for allied healthcare workers remains critical. Kapi‘olani Community College trains medical professionals who can help you navigate medical care. Many of our 22 programs are only offered in the state of Hawai‘i here at our college. One of our gem programs is Occupational Therapy Assisting which operates an OTA On-Site Pro Bono Clinic.

The hands-on practice helps them to pass examinations, complete their associates degrees, and find good careers post graduation.
It is a great experience putting coursework into practice and serving community client patients who have exhausted their therapy insurance coverage but still need help. Client patients include those with spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, Parkinson's Disease, dementia, and more.
