Please support our faculty in enhancing the Kuleana & Community course at UH Hilo. This unique program fosters deeper connections among students, instructors, and the broader Hilo community, as well as the diverse island of Hawaiʻi. By exploring local place names, their histories, and their cultural significance, participants engage in meaningful activities, including huakaʻi (field trips) and mālama ʻāina (service-learning projects).
Our goal is to explore all the moku (districts) of Hawaiʻi Island within a semester, providing students with a rich understanding of our local heritage and environment.
Your support can help us continue to create impactful learning experiences and strengthen our ties to the community. Thank you for considering this opportunity to enhance our educational efforts!
