Tuition, books and fees are only a portion of the cost of higher education. Housing, meals, transportation, access to technology, and personal expenses make it much more per year for one student’s pursuit of knowledge, career and fulfillment. And that’s not accounting for childcare costs for students with children.
After all funding sources (scholarships, Pell grants, loans) are exhausted, Windward CC students still need roughly 64% more money to attend college.
A $1 million scholarship endowment will cover these expenses for 13 students per year, every year, impacting the future for generations of students to come.
