Hulihia is UH Maui College’s new center to help lead Maui County to sustainability. Internships provide Maui students with hands-on experience in bringing sustainable change to Maui.

Examples where the Hulihia Center can provide Maui with sustainable alternatives include:

Reducing the impact of tourism
Working with state agencies to improve water quality
Improving local food security by supporting sustainable agricultural operations
Developing Maui’s workforce for living-wage careers in sustainability
Preserving open green spaces on Maui
